The Mediterranean Center for Arts and Sciences is a dedicated Study Abroad Institute specializing in Mediterranean Studies, Italian Studies, Classical Studies, Arts (studio and history) and Natural Sciences. 
 
Courses invite students to reflect on their experience abroad while the active weekly events calendar offered by the school, enables students to experience the local environment, meet the local students and speak Italian. 

MCAS is located in a completely restored 17th century /palazzo/ in the historical center of the ancient city of Syracuse, in Sicily, steps away from the Mediterranean Sea

MCAS offers a genuine immersion program that enables our students to truly experience the cultures of Italy and the Mediterranean.

Study Abroad Italy (SAI) oversees and coordinates all aspects of your enrollment including application processing, course selection and credit, visa preparation, housing, student health insurance, transcripts, and cell phone service. SAI provides comprehensive student services, beginning with pre-departure and leading to our on-site orientation and advising in Italy. MCAS students are provided with an airport transfer on arrival days, on-line access in the computer lab, and program sponsored field study trips and excursions to fascinating destinations within Sicily.
