Intersession program application deadline: November 3, 2008
The MCAS January Intersession Program in Sicily (January - 3 weeks) includes a weekend spent in historic Taormina/Naxos (founded 734 BC) and three weeks in Syracuse (founded 733 BC) – the oldest Greek cities of Sicily. The program includes a three credit class examining classical art, religion and mythology (CS LL 350: Greek Myth & Religion), a variety of fieldtrips and an Italian Language for Survival workshop which has been designed to enable students to get the very most out of their cultural experience in Sicily and to understand what Sicily has to offer, from the ancient world to the 21st century.
