Summer Session application deadlines: 60 days prior to the start of the session

In the Summer I session (May to June - 5 weeks) and in the Summer II session (July to August - 5 weeks), students may elect to undertake a course load of up to 7 credits, chosen from the posted schedules. Any proposed course load that exceeds 7 credits will be treated on an individual basis, must be approved by both the home and the host (MCAS) institutions, and will incur additional costs. The distribution of teaching contact hours between in-class instruction and outside activities (field trips, etc.) varies from course to course. In the summer sessions, students are not required to take Italian language.

Summer Program Outline
•	5 weeks in Syracuse (May to June or July to August )
•	Tuition & US academic credit for up to 7 credit hours of academic courses
•	Carefully selected living accommodations in clean, pleasant lodgings in the historic center of Syracuse
•	Program inclusive excursions
•	Academic field trips (program inclusive, depending on classes) to the significant sites of Sicily
•	Welcome reception and farewell evening
•	Dedicated on-site SAI Program Coordinator in Syracuse providing personal assistance throughout the term
•	24 hour emergency support line
•	Orientation: three day orientation
•	Weekly cultural activities
•	Organized services from application to completion, with friendly, reliable advising
•	Visa service (optional)
•	HTH Insurance (including full medical coverage, medical emergency evacuation)
•	Cell Phone (Free for incoming calls)
•	Internet Modem for your personal laptop (optional)
•	Airport pick-up and transportation for Catania Airport arrivals

Please note that the following are NOT included in the program cost:
•	application fee; security deposit; single room supplement; airfare; meals and personal expenses; books or studio fees; optional excursions offered by SAI or the host school

The following optional excursion is offered at an additional cost:
•	Two day excursion to Taormina
