Program Description

Come, enjoy the cultural experience of a lifetime!

Through lectures, discussions and field trips, you will explore the country that has so captivated people for centuries. This cultural tour of Sicily will focus on the art, history, cuisine and current issues of this fascinating region. You will visit the historical island of Ortigia, one of the most ancient areas of Siracusa, Agrigento and Taormina. Ancient temples and magnificent vistas abound on the mysterious and magical island of Sicily. Once at the crossroads of Greek, Mideastern and European cultures, Siracusa (Syracuse) rivaled Athens and Sparta as the most important Greek city of its time.
